Bayworld has reopened a section of the Snake Park. A number of snakes and other reptiles, as well as interesting informational material in a more compact fashion, are on display.

Pet Shop and Retile Park A comprehensive pet shop and highly professional reptile park will soon open doors. The Pet Shop tea garden adjoins the kiddies playground and animal farm. Enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine and watch the kids having fun galore in secure surroundings.

Croc City Crocodile Farm provides the opportunity to observe one of the world's most spectacular predators at close range. On display we have hatchlings to large adults of over four meters in length. The tea garden offers delicious refreshments and in the curio shop you will find a wide variety of souvenirs, as well as vacuum packed crocodile meat. Informative guided tours are given on request.

Experience the wonder of the Montecasino Bird Gardens in Fourways - the only facility of its kind in Africa. Here, families and nature-lovers can marvel at the largest and most diverse private collection of African cycads in the world and a collection of over 142 species of birds. The Montecasino Bird Gardens is home to over 1 000 bird, reptiles and small animals all housed within their natural surroundings.

Located on Durban’s Marine Parade (next door to Minitown) Fitzsimons Snake Park is home to about 250 of these fascinating reptiles. Here you will be able to have a close encounter with, among others, the world’s longest snake, the Reticulated Python - which reaches about eleven metres in adulthood; some of the most venomous snakes on the planet (Boomslang, Puff Adder and Black Mamba) and some of the rarest snakes around ( Long Nose Tree Snake, Snorkel Viper and Madagascan Tree Boa.)

The Reptiles snakes and lizards, are as much a part of the animal life of the Palmiet Nature Reserve as are the mammals and birds. The snakes may have taken on the role of the main predators, effecting a control on small mammals, birds, toads and frogs, where other more usual predators do not occur.

here is a display of various snakes, birds, tortoises, and farm animals to keep children entertained for hours. The Crocodile Feeding takes place every Saturday and Sunday at 14h00 and 11h30 respectively.

Sanyati Reptile Park is open to day visitors from late 2005. Learn about the fascinating world of reptiles (we specialise in the giant & venomous snakes). Several species of indigenous snakes on display include the Black Mamba, Gaboon adder and many more of Africa`s deadliest. Some of the most colourful boas & biggest pythons from all over the world on display.

Meropa Casino’s Wild World outdoor area, is home to the WildThingZ Bird and Reptile Park; a veritable menagerie of creatures that flutter and soar to those that slither and crawl. With numerous aviaries housing exotic and indigenous birds, as well as an insectarium, a butterfly - and reptile park, not forgetting their daily (Tuesday to Sunday) raptor and snake shows. WildThingZ also boasts it’s own tea-room and Sports Bar as well as the Jungle Kids play area.

No stay at the Garden Route Game Lodge is complete without a tour of the Reptile center. A visit to the recently established cheetah-breeding programme where a guided walk will fill you in on all the amazing facts of this endangered species.
