British Chelonia (Tortoises)

The Three Counties Tortoises Club has grown up as a regional offshoot of the BCG, and follows their basic philosophy- but without conducting campaigns of exclusion and exclusivity. All here are welcome as friends. AIMS: 1) To provide chelonia keepers with the support needed to ensure that their captive animals receive quality husbandry. 2) To raise funds from the public, to finance chelonia rescue, research and conservation projects worldwide. 3) To discourage the importation and purchase of wild caught specimens, in favour of responsible captive breeding.

British Reptile Club

The British Reptile Club was formed to enable keepers to have a facility where husbandry ,health and care of their reptiles can be researched and discussed. Herpetology and Captive Husbandry work hand in hand and it is imperative for keepers to share information and have a forum where the latest technology and research can be seen.

Data is collected throughout the county of the numbers of amphibians and reptiles, recording numbers, species, location etc. This information is then submitted to the WBRC after validation. Where you can request a Data search.
