If you have an interest in Australian tarantulas, then the ATA has something to offer you! We encourage responsible collecting and the sale of captive bred spiders. Tropical Tarantulas is in its second successful season of breeding with over 2000 spiderlings bred in 2006. We also rescue Tarantulas from peoples homes and have saved hundreds of Tarantulas from suffering the fate of insect spray or the bottom of someones shoe. Many of these rescued spiders enter the breeding program here or are traded with other breeders for other species. We have also developed several first aid techniques for sick or injured Tarantulas. Welcome to www.selenocosmia.com, THE online resource for Australian tarantulas. The purpose of this site is to allow as much information as possible on Australian tarantulas to be accessed by the general public free of charge. Last update : 20/05/2007
