Captive Care
Northern Reptiles.co.uk

Spotted Python's are often kept in captivity (especially America) and are particularly popular within collections throughout the world. This snake seems very hardy and easily adapts to it environment, it has proved to be a very easy and popular snake to keep. Spotted Pythons are often breed in captivity without much problem but despite been so easy to keep and breed Spotted Python's don't seem too commonly available within the UK, which is why I had so much difficulty obtaining an adult male.

A 24" x 18" x 18" vivarium fitted with a Ceramic heater and thermostat is ideal housing for a pair of Spotted Pythons. The ceramic heater should be left on day and night but the thermostat should be turned down by the appropriate temperature at night and back up again in the morning.
